John deere shuttle shift problems.
The problem goes away when I turn the tractor off and restart. The tractor has been at the dealer for the last 3 months for repairs. I only have 50 hours on the tractor and have had problems with the power reverser the day the dealer dropped the tractor off. I wish that someone from Deere is reading this post and offers me some help.
Push the clutch pedal in ALL the way, choose range and gear, actuate the PTO lever, release the clutch half way to engage PTO, rev to appropriate 540 marking, release the clutch pedal all the way to get the tractor going. No grinding at all. I have about 5hrs. on my 3400. Keep in mind I have a two stage clutch.Tractor. John Deere 2030, John Deere 6415. The enable sensor should have two wires to it, red and white. The red wire is incoming power supply. You could check and see if you have voltage there. White wire then goes to the reverser control unit. Mar 23, 2014 · I didn't see any mention of shuttle shift in parts catalog either. Does the shuttle shift work without using clutch? Is there a suction screen in transmission that could be clogged? Now to help you find your problem. 1) Remove the cowling that goes over the top of the dash. You need to be able to see the shifter, latch and quadrant/drums. 2) Shift the tractor to the first range back out of park. (1st, 3rd and low reverse) Then move the shifter to the right into the speed drum.

John Deere STX38 shifting problem. I recently bought a used STX38. This is my first ever riding mower. Everything seems to be working great, except when i need to shift down. I will usually run the tractor in 2nd or 3rd gear, but if i need to shift down to 1st or neutral or to get into reverse, it always seems to be a problem.
